Macrophage migration inhibitory factor is a multipotent cytokine and be widely distributed in the body,it may be involved in a variety of physiological and pathological responses, its signal transduction mechanism is complex and extensive, such as extracelluclar-signal regulated kinase 1/2(ERK1/2) signal transduction pathway,NF-κB and Jab 1 signal transduction pathway. It is closely related to many complex autoimmune diseases, but the MIF signal transduction mechanisms were still not completely clarified.
