MicroRNAs(miRNAs) is a kind of 21~28 nt single-stranded,non-coding small molecular RNA,which can regulate thousands of genes through binding to 3′-UTR of target genes in a pattern of full or partial complementary pairing, and results in degradation or translation inhibition of target genes.Recently,it has been shown that miRNAs has become a key regulator of many bioprocess including growth and development, cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. To elucidate the role of microRNAs in diseases may provide a novel strategy for the therapy of many diseases. This review summarized the progress in the study on role of miRNAs in cardiovascular diseases.
