THE PROTOTYPE VIBRATION TEST AND DYNAMIC RESPONSE CALCULATION OF ENERGY-REALEASE PIERS

As a new type energy releasing structure, the energy-release pier was successfully used in the flood-discharge construotion at Zhelin Hydroelectric Station (Jiang xi Province). To evaluate the dynamio characteristics of the energy-release piers, the first 15 vibrational modes of whioh are caloulated by using SAP-5 allowing 3-dimension finite element analysis. With resonant peak method, the first eight natural frequencies of the prototype energy-release pier and the impact responses of the flood discharge ourrent correlated with the dynamic displacement and acceleration are measured. After analysed and ordered the data of pulse of the ourrent observed, according to the modal superimposition method the displacement response and dynamic stress history are calculated. The fatigue strength of the structure is checked.
