Immune Effects of Levomisole on Chickens Inoculated with Oil Emulsion Inactivated Vaccine of Newcastle Disease

He Xiuyuan (Zhengzhou Biologics Factory,Ministry of Agriculture,Henan,Zhengzhou 450061)
Chickens of 4 days old were inoculated with levomisole oil emulsion inactivated vaccine (Levomisole OEV) and oil emulsion inactivated vaccine of newcastle disease (ND).The inoculation doses of the two vaccines were 0.1,0.2 and 0.4 mL per bird, respectively. At 3,6,9,16 and 23 days after vaccination, serum HI antibody titers against NDV of the chickens in each group were detected by Microhaemagg lntination inhibition test (HI).At 25 days after vaccination, chickens were challenged with virulent NDV and the protection rate of each group was calculated, respectively. The results indicated that HI antibody titers of the groups inoculated with levomisole OEV were significant higher than the groups inoculated with OEV.Chickens inoculated with levomisole OEV and OEV obtained 100% of protection rates.
