Research on the optical stability of cobamamide

Objective This paper aims to research the optical stability of cobamamide under the condition of visible light.Methods The illumination experiment were performed for cobamamide reference solution under the conditions as follows:wavelength 400,450,500,550,600,650 and 700 nm;illumination 50,100,200,300,400 and 500 lx.The cobamamide solutions after irradiation were tested by using HPLC.Results The photo degradation rate of cobamamide was the lowest at the wave length of 600 nm and under the illumination intensity of 50 lx.Conclusion This research illustrated the lowest illumination wavelength and intensity of photo degradation rate,and provided a reference for avoiding light.
