Observation of the effect of ambroxol hydrochloride on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with pulmonary infection

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of ambroxol hydrochloride on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)with pulmonary infection.Methods 96 patients with COPD combined with pulmonary infection were divided into 2 groups equally according to the digital random table method.The control group were treated with antibiotics,bronchodilator,and the medicine of expectorant cough and smooth wheezing,while the treatment group were given ambroxol hydrochloride intravenous drip based on the control group.The relief time of the main symptoms,CPIS,APACHE Ⅱscore,more forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1)and FEV1/FVC ratio,and serum interferon gamma(IFN-gamma),tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF alpha)and interleukin-6(IL-6)level of the 2 groups before and after treatment were compared,the total effective rate of the2 groups after treatment was compared,too.Results The main symptoms and signs of cough and expectoration,lung rale,and the improving time of chest condition of the treatment group were less than that of the control group(P0.05);CPIS,APACHE Ⅱscores were lower than that of the control group(P0.01);FVC,FEV1,FEV1/FVC were higher than that of the control group,CPIS、APACHE Ⅱscore,serum levels of IL-6,TNF-αand IFN-γwere lower than that of the control group(P0.01),the total effective rate was higher than that of the control group(P0.05).Conclusion That ambroxol hydrochloride was used based on the conventional treatment can quickly relieve symptoms,reduce the lung infection score,improve the lung function and inflammatory factor index,the curative effect is definite on COPD combined with pulmonary infection.
