ON LATE PALEOZOIC EARLY MESOZOIC VOLCANISM AND REGIONAL TECTONIC EVOLUTION OF EASTERN KUNLUN,QINGHAI PROVINCE

By analyzing sedimentary formations and determining geotectonic features of Late Paleozoic Early Mesozoic volcanic complex, it is found that the geotectonic development in Late Paleozoic Early Mesozoic era was a continuous process and founded the general tectonic pattern of the area. This period was the most important interval for the formation of gold and copper deposits. Double magmatic arcs, which were formed in Late Paleozoic Early Mesozoic era, were orogenic magmatic arcs at different stages in the same geodynamic mechanism. The Late Paleozoic Early Mesozoic tectonomagmatic cycle can be divided into two stages: the early stage of subduction orogeny(which formed volcanic rocks related with ophiolites and arc volcanism) and the late stage of collision(which formed shoshonitic volcanic rocks).
