140 km/h vehicle sidewall structure and its finite element analysis
Wang Yu;Tian Aiqin;Wang Yuyan;
This paper describes a new aluminum alloy sidewall structure mainly used in car body of 140 km/h urban train, featured with light weight, high strength, simple production process, and attractive appearance. According to EN 12663 standard, the load conditions of static strength, computational cases and evaluation criterion are determined. Finite element calculation through Hyper Mesh software is carried out. The calculation result shows that the sidewall has satisfied the static strength, stiffness and modal requirement of rail vehicle.
