Adaptive clutter suppression for AEW radar: a simplified auxiliary channel approach

A simplified auxiliary channel approach is proposed. The number of auxiliary channels is reduced from N+K-1 (Klemm' method) to 4～6 typically, so that the computational load is greatly reduced, which make its implementation possible in real time in near future. The gain in signal/ clutter-plus-noise ratio is almost identical to that obtained by using Klemm's method. Theoretical analysis and simulation results comfirm the above conclu- sions.
