Efficient computation of sleeve monopole antennas using Z matrix interpolation

The analysis of antennas over a wide frequency range often requires the computation of the impedance matrix Z at each new frequency using the method of moment. This paper describes a method of Z matrix interpolation, which can approximately reduce the computing time by 10 times and lead to a very small error. Finally, using the Z interpolation method incorporated into an optimization technique, a practical sleeve monopole antenna, with the VSWR of less than 2 6 and the gain of more than 5 1 dB in the 200~ 700 MHz frerquency band, is designed. The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental results.
