Analysis of magneto static shielding effectiveness of the infinite cavity cylinder with magnetic material

The formulae for magneto static shielding effectiveness of the infinite cavity cylinder with magnetic material are derived from the separation of variables technique in this paper. Based n the formulae, the magneto static shielding effectiveness of magnetic materials with large, middle, and small values of relative permeability is calculated, the results of which show that magneto static shielding effectiveness of magnetic material with a large permeability is not large. This paper also points out that the shielding effectveness is almost independent of thickness, if the analysis and approximate formula are for a large, thin walled, cylinder.
