Effect of Some Additions on the Sintering Properties of Andalusite Products

s: The influences of some additions on the sintering properties of andalusite raw material were investigated and the mechanisms were analyzed. It is found that the sintering properties of andalusite can be enhanced obviously by addition of magnesia, especially at high temperature. But the quantity of the addition must be controlled not more than 2% . The addition of titanium can also affect the sintering properties of andalusite, its quantity should be within 4% ,but the addition of chrome and zirconia is unsatisfied for sintering andalusite.
