Transcatheter Bronchial Artery Infusion of Anticarcinoma Agents for Treatment of Carcinomatous Atelectasis

Purpose: To explore the treatment value of transcatheter bronchial artery infusing anticarcinoma agents (BAI) for carcino-matous atelectasis. Materials awl Methods: Twenty - one cases of lung cancer with carcinomatous atelectasis which had different histologic types were underwent the treatment of BAI. Results; Atelectasis respiraied completely in 14 cases (66%), partly in 6 cases (29%), no change in 1 case (5%). Conclusion: BAI is a usefulness method for treatment of carcinomatous atelectasis , it is helpful for farther clinic treatment.
