Purpose: To investigate the risk factors of intracranial complications in Minor Head Injury( MHI). Materials and Methods: We prospectively studied 390 subjects with MHI; all patients were more than 18 years of age and were injured within 24 hours. All had 13 ~ 15 scores of Glasgow Coma Scale( GCS) during study. We took clinical findings as independent variable and positive CT findings as dependent variable, and tested their associations to determine the risk factors of intracranial complications. Results: The associated clinical findings with positive CT results were neurological deficit( OR = 23. 158,P = 0. 000),loss of consciousness( OR = 23. 906,P = 0. 000),evidence of supra-clavicles trauma( R = 19. 979, P = 0. 000O),serious injury( OR = 11. 362,P = 0. 000. Conclusion: We concluded the risk factors of intracranial complications of MHI which can help clinicians to evaluate the MHI correctly and choose the appropriate measures.
