Study on the Relationship between High-frequency Ultrasound Combined with Cardiac Probe Measurement of the Thickness of Epicardial Adipose Tissue(EAT) and the Risk Factors of Coronary Artery Disease

Purpose: To study the relationship between the thickness of epicardial adipose tissue(EAT) and the risk factors of coronary heart disease(CHD).Materials and Methods: The data of 98 patients were randomly selected in the Department of Cardiology of our hospital from August 2012 to August 2014 as the research object,which,according to the results of coronary angiography were divided into two groups,with 76 patients whose conditions met with the diagnostic criteria of coronary heart disease as study group,and the other 22 patients as control group.The clinical baseline data,unhealthy life habits,medications and laboratory tests results of the two groups were observed and compared.Results: The clinical baseline data,unhealthy living habits,and medication of patients in the two groups under comparison showed statistically significant differences(P 0.05,P 0.01).However,the laboratory indexes,HDL-C and TG,of the two groups showed no significant difference(P 0.05),but CHOL,LDL-C and EAT under comparison registered statistically significant difference(P 0.05).Conclusion: The thickness of epicardial adipose tissue is closely related with the risk factors of coronary heart disease,and EAT can serve as an important predictor for early discovery of coronary heart disease,which has the practical value for clinical application.
