Purpose: To evaluate the value of diffusion weighted imaging in diagnosing early ankylosing spondylitis,To investigate the feasibility of early ankylosing spondylitis( AS) by measuring ADC. Materials and Methods: All of 20 patients of ankylosing spondylitis and 20 normal volunteers were performed with routine DWI scannin. Analysis of DWI performance and measuring ADC with the abnormal and normal area. Conclusion: 20 patients showed sacroiliac joints abnormal signal and 3 normal volunteers showd sacroiliac joints abnormal signal,The ADC values of the lesion group were higher than that of control group. Combined DWI is sensitive to Ankylosing spondylitis patients early sacroiliac arthritis,by measuring the ADC values can quantitative sacroiliac arthritis and it has a high value for found lesions as soon as possible.
