Prenatal Ultmsonography for Fetal Limb Malformation Screening at 11~13~(+6) Weeks of Gestation

Objective: To investigate the value of prenatal ultrasound for the diagnosis of fetal limb deformities at 11~ 13~(+6) weeks of gestation. Methods: 2994 cases of pregnant women who had pregnancy examination from Mar 2015 to Jan2018 underwent ultrasound examination at their gestational weeks of 11 ~ 13~(+6). Compared with prenatal or postnatal fetal characteristics,the sensitivity,specificity,accuracy and consistency of prenatal ultrasound screening for fetal limb deformities were calculated. Results: Of the 2994 pregnant women,40 cases of fetal limb deformity were detected by prenatal ultrasound and 2954 cases did not found abnomality. 37 cases of fetal limb deformity were confirmed after induction or birth.The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of prenatal ultrasound for the diagnosis of fetal limb deformity were 91. 9%,99. 8%,and 99. 7%,respectively,which was in good agreement with the results of fetal or postnatal fetal abnormalities.Conclusion: Prenatal ultrasound can be used as the main method to diagnose fetal limb deformities at 11 ~ 13~(+6) weeks of gestation.
