The Distribution of the Planktonic Malacostraca in the Jiulong River Estutry

This paper is based on materials collected during Aug. 1979 to Aug. 1980 and Feb. 1983 to Jan. 1984 from Jiulong River Estuary. 20 species of Malac-ostraca were identifed. Pseudeuphausia sinica was found of be the dominant. Seasonal variation in number of the Malacostraca is evident in this estuary.According to the spatial distribution, the Malacostraca found in Jiulong River Estuary can be divided into four ecological groups, i. e. estuarine warm-water, neritic warm-water, neritic warm-temperate and oceanic eurythermal warm-water. Their spatial and seasonal successions appeared to be corelated with the variation of environmental factors, especially salinity and water temperature and phytoplankton.
