Study on the relationship between the exposed area of wood crib and its heat release rate

The calculating formula of the exposed area of wood crib is introduced,and the exposed area of wood crib used in the experiment afterwards is calculated.The ISO 9705 standard experimental room fire test is performed to test the wood crib's peak/average heat release rate and the time reaching the peak value.The method of linear fitting is used to analyze the relationship between the exposed areas of wood crib and its heat release rate,and the fitting constant and correlation coefficient is obtained.The formula is used to predict the heat release rate based on the exposed area,and the result is compared to the test value.
