Numerical simulation of blocking smoke motion under water mist curtain in the corridor

This experiment established a model of 20mlong corridor,used FDS to study the effects of water mist curtain blocking the smoke diffusion under different ways of applying water mist in the corridor of building fire.Four scenarios were set to simulate the temperature,heat release,smoke layer height,obscuration,CO2 concentration and O2 concentration.The results showed that water mist curtain can effectively block the gas diffusion,rapidly decrease the environmental temperature,absorb and dilute toxic gas.Applying water mist curtain vertical up and down at the same time can reduce the temperature and layer height of the smoke,increase the visibility of the corridor,slow down the consumption rate of oxygen.
