Optimization design of fire compartmentation in the large corridor-style building

The difficult problems of fire compartmentation in the special form large corridor-style building were studied,and the optimization design methods were introduced.Taking a Business Center in Xuzhou as an example,FDS and flame thermal radiation theoretical model were used to simulate and analyze the effectiveness of 6m wide fire barrier preventing fire spreading.Results showed that when automatic sprinkler system fails,radiation intensity received by the shop on the other side of fire break is 12.5kW/m2 less than that where retail can be ignited.Fire barrier of 6m width could effectively prevent fire spreading to the opposite side of the patio.Taking effective firebreak,vertical space of patio can be set as an independent fire district.
