Correlation of TRAIL-DR4 Genetic Polymorphism with Susceptibility for Lung Cancer

[Purpose] To investigate the correlation TRAIL-DR4 of genetic polymorphism with susceptibility for lung cancer.[Method] The genotypes of-972C/T and-397G/T polymorphic loci at TRAIL-DR4 gene promoter region were determined by PCR-RFLP method in 92 cases with lung cancer and 92 healthy controls.The statistical association of genotypes in the two groups adjusted by gender,age and smoke was analyzed by unconditional Logistic regression model.[Results] The-972C/T polymorphic loci at TRAIL-DR4 gene promoter region was not associated with lung cancer susceptibility.And the risk of lung cancer in persons who smoked≥20 years with-397TT and GT genotypes was higher than that with-397GG genotype(P=0.019,OR=3.462,95%CI:1.222～9.811).[Conclusion] TRAIL-DR4 genetic polymorphism play an important role in susceptibility for lung cancer.
