[Purpose] To investigate the expressions and clinical significance of Twist and HGF protein in NSCLC.[Method] The expressions of Twist and HGF in 60 NSCLC specimens and 12 adjacent tissue specimens were detected by immunohistochemical method.[Results] The positive rate of Twist and HGF was 68.3%(41/60)and 56.7%(34/60)in lung cancer specimens and 16.7%(2/12)and 8.3%(1/12)in adjacent tissue specimens respectively. The expression of Twist was related to differentiation of NSCLC(P=0.031).Expression of HGF was related to lymph node metastasis(P=0.006).There was a significant positive correlation between expressions of Twist and HGF in lung cancer(r=0.417,P0.01).[Conclusion] Twist and HGF are overexpression in NSCLC,and they may play an important role in carcinogenesis of NSCLC.
