Effects of Formats,Preferences and Personalities on Searching Keywords on Chinese Web Pages

The effects of display formats on the performance of searching task was studied to investigate the display effects of Chinese texts on Web pages.3(Font types:Song,Fangsong,and Kai)×3(Line spacing:no spacing,single spacing,and double spacing)within-group design was used with searching time as dependent variable. Subjects were 22 undergraduates.The subjects'preferences to the display formats and their personality types were also examined.The analysis of the relations between searching performances,preferences,and personality reveals some rules in searching Chinese Web pages
