STUDY OF THE RELATION OF BLOOD PRESSURE TO PARAMETERS OF GROMTH AND DEVELOPMENT

Zhang Fu-hua, Wang Li-qui
The relation of blood Pressure to height, Weight, skinfold thickness, hemoglobin and Pulse rate, of 1598 students from 10-15 years of age in Wuhau city were analyzed, It was found that the correlation coeffieient between blood pressure and weight of students was higher than that between blood pressure and skinfold thickness, height of students, but the correlation coefficient between blood pressure and hemoglobin or pulse rate were not statistically significant. The blood pressure of children of the same age with weight above the 90th percentile were remarkably higher than those of children with weight between 10th to 90th percentile. The taller and heavier, the higher the blood Pressure correspondingly。 In view of the above analysis, it is suggested that medical observation in children with weight above 90th Percentile and blood Pressure. above 95th percentile sbould be strenthened in order to find out and prevent hypertension early。
