A Comparative Analysis on the New and Old Three Editions of American National Education Technology Standards for Students

The American international society for technology in education(ISTE) has issued three editions of American national educational technology standards(NETS) for students in 1998, 2007 and 2016, respectively. This paper first made a comparative analysis on the three editions from the aspects of the evolution of the theme, the change in the dimension and the order, and then focused on the analysis of the specific dimensions and the specific indicators under each dimension. Finally, the enlightenment of the NETS to the development of educational technology standards suitable for China was discussed. The results of this paper could provide reference for constructing the educational technology standards for students suiting to Chinese situation, updating the curriculum standard of the information technology, and promoting the integration of information technology and curriculums.
