Design, Development and Application of Mobile Learning Resources based on We Chat Public Platform

With the rapid development of mobile communication technology and mobile device, U-learning and fragmented learning raise new requirements for learning resources. The design and development of mobile learning resources have become the research focus in the field of educational technology. Focusing on the fragmented learning philosophy, the present study adopted methods including literature review, questionnaire survey, and interviews to explore the correlation between fragmented learning philosophy and mobile learning. Meanwhile, the "photography exposure" teaching unit was taken as an example to develop mobile learning materials. By researching theoretical principles and developing process aspects of mobile learning resources design and development, two versions of mobile learning resources, the "ordinary version" and the "animation version" were developed and tested on the We Chat platform. In addition, the appropriateness and feasibility of mobile learning resources were analyzed based on the We Chat platform experimentation, with an aim of satisfying learners' actual resource demands and providing theoretical and practical reference for the design and development of mobile learning resources.
