How Should an Actor Work on a Script?

Liu Ning;Acting Department at Shanghai Theatre Academy;
While it is necessary for an actor to analyze a script, in many cases, it is hard for the actor to apply the analysis to his acting. Therefore, the actor should make an in-depth analysis of the action of his character. It is crucial for the actor to fully grasp the direction and the mode of the character's action. When an actor questions and challenges the action of his character, literary analysis is to play an active role and help the actor with the creation of his character.
