Bioinformatic analysis of the structure and function of TYR-gene-encoding protein in American mink

In order to further understand the structural and functional information of the TYR gene of American mink,the TYR-gene-encoding protein of the animal was analyzed by bioinformatic methods,and the phylogenetic tree of the TYR gene was constructed. The results showed that the TYR gene of American mink encoded 531 amino acids,and its encoding product was unstable hydrophilicity protein. Its secondary structure was mainly composed of alpha helix and random coil,containing one tyrosinase superfamily domain,some signal peptides,transmembrane domains,and disulfide bonds. The protein mainly played a role of cell envelope,transport and binding in the endoplasmic reticulum,and also exerted its biological effect in the cell through signal transduction. The phylogenetic situation was basically consistent with that of animal taxonomy. The TYR gene of American mink was closely related to domestic cats and domestic dogs. The protein encoded by the TYR gene was highly conservative in biological evolution. The analysis of the structure and function of this gene here laid the foundation for further study of the genetic characteristics of the TYR gene of mink.
