EFFECT OF CRUDE ENZYME PREPARATION SUPPLEMENTED TO BARLEY BASED DIET ON THE BODY WEIGHT GAIN, IMMUNITY AND ENDOCRINE SECRETION IN CHICKS

Wang Qingji Chen Weihua Han Zhengkang(Laboratory of Animal Physiology and Biochemistry 210095)
144 heads,7 days old ISA Brown male chicks were allocated into 4 groups fed maize based diet (CC),barley based diet(BC),BC+0.1% Avizyme-1100 crude enzyme,BC+0.1 Zhejiang crude enzyme(BZ),respectively, for 14 days.Day 21 old all chicks were killed and blood sample collected for RIA of thyroid hormones and T lymphocytes transformation test. The results showed that the body weight gain of 7~21 days chicks was higher in both enzyme supplemented groups(BZ and BF) by 6.62%(P0.05) and 4.87%,whereas feed conversion efficiency lowered by 5.93%(P0.01) and 3.20%(P0.01),respectively,compared to those of barley based diet group. The serum T3 content was increased by 12.77% and 15.22% for enzyme supplemented groups, in 21 days old chicks, compared to control group, while no significant difference for T4 level was found. The lymphocyte transformation rate of 7~21 days chicks was increased 24.57% in BZ and 31.01% in BF group(P0.05),while that of 7~28 days chicks was increased by 39.53%(P0.05) and 74.15%(P0.01),respectively.
