Study on application of echocardiogram in diagnosis of uremic myocardiopathy

Li Yan;Liu Zipeng;Deparment of Ultrasonography, Hanzhong Central Hospital;
Objective To explore the value of the application of echocardiogram in diagnosis of uremic myocardiopathy.Methods A certain number of patients with uremic myocardiopathy and treated in our hospital were selected and divided into a patient group(n=60) and a healthy group(n=20). The two groups received echocardiogram to measure the inner diameter of heart chambers and the contraction function of ventricles. The left ventricular diastolic function was analyzed with Doppler tissue imaging. Results Compared with the control group, the inner diameter of the heart chambers in the patient group was greater, especially that of the left heart, with obvious thicker interventricular septum(P 0.05); the indicators such as E peak velocity, A peak velocity, isovolumic index in diadtolic phase, velocity in late diadtolic phase and velocity in early diadtolic phase got obviously abnormal(P 0.05); the stroke volume, left ventricle output and left heart index increased greatly(P 0.05); the cardiac systolic function decreased but still within the normal range. Conclusion From echocardiogram, we can observe the size and structure and evaluate the function of the heart in an intuitive, accurate, noninvasive and dynamic manner to diagnose, track and observe cardiac diseases, so as to provide reliable basis for clinical screening and diagnosis of uremic myocardiopathy.
