Efficacy of combination of TCM and WM in treatment of gynecological endocrine disorders

Yang Xuefang;Zhou Juying;Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Yingcheng People's Hospital;
Objective To explore the efficacy of combination of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and western medicine(WM)in the treatment of gynecological endocrine disorders. Methods A total of 84 patients with gynecological endocrine disorders admitted to our hospital were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group(n =42, respectively). The control group was treated with conventional WM and the observation group with the combination of TCM and WM. After the treatment, the efficacy and the changes in the levels of female sex hormones(FSHs) in the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rates in the observation group were 97.62% and 76.19% in the control group. The difference in the total effective rate was of statistical significance(P 0.05). There was no significant difference in the FSH and E2 in the two groups before the treatment(P 0.05); after the treatment, the FSH and E2 in the two groups increased greatly, with those in the observation group much higher than those in the control group(P 0.05). Conclusion The combination of TCM and WM has significant effects on the treatment of gynecological endocrine disorders, can greatly improve the abnormal hormone secretion in patients, and is worth clinical popularizing.
