Deformation and Its Effect on the Properties of Proton-Rich Nuclei ~(23)Al

The nuclear structures and properties of N=10 isotones and Z=13 isotopes are investigated in the framework of macroscopic-microscopic model with the isospin-dependent Nilsson potential. Special emphases are placed on the structures of 23Al. The calculations well reproduce the experimental ground state binding energies and deformations of these nuclei. The ground state spin and parity of 23Al are calculated and discussed. It is found that deformation plays an important role in understanding the nuclear structure of 23Al. The possible halo structure and the level inversion in the light mass region are discussed.
