Determination of Chlorogenic Acid and Four Flavones in Flos lonicerae and Flos lonicerae Beverage

A method to simultaneously separate and determinate chlorogenic acid and four flavones was established based on reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography. Under the optimized and experimental conditions,a mixture of MeOH-water,with pH adjusted to 2.6 with H3PO4,was used as the mobile phase,and external standard was also employed The results showed the linearity range was 0.1-50,0.055-100,0.05-200,0.05-100 and 0.1-100 g/mL,respectively,for chlorogenic acid,Quercetin,Hyperoside,Luteocin and Quercetin (R0.999) and their recoveries were 94.40%,100.72%,97.60% and 96.80% (RSD1.2%). This method proved to be sensitive,accurate,rapid and reproducible. It could be applied to determine the quality of Flos lonicerae.
