STUDY ON THE DIVERSITY OF INSECT COMMUNITY FROM TEA GARDEN ECOSYSTEM

Jiang Guangzao Tan Xianghong (Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences)
The insect communities from various ecological systems of tea garden have been studied and analyzed with a ecological method. It showed that Natural Ecosystem-plot was present more species of insects than the other plots, and, with rather higher diversity indices and with lower significient dominant pest species. But Natural Restoring Ecosystem-plot, Chemical Ecosystem-plot and Biolopical Ecosystem-plot were with much lower diversity indices and less kind of species, which the dom inant pest in these plots were with high population density. While the diversity indices from the IPM Ecosystem-plot was little lower than that of natural plot but much higher than that of rest plots, single dominant pest species was unimportant. The relationship among the populations density of insect species in IpM^plot was in a banlance of less individuals. The result indicated that the magnificent managing procedures for tea garden, specially of the plant protective methods for pest control were very important to the insects alternation of community in the tea garden. Insect community structure could be moved into suitable way when people strengthen or decrease some dominant factors acting on the community structure. The authors recommended that Integrated Pest Management is available.
