Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylase gene in rice,Oryza sativa

The GLgc TM gene coding ADP Glucose pyrophosphorylase,which plays the key role in the synthesis of starch in plants as the donator of glucose,was transformed into the calli of rice(Oryza sativa L.)by Agrobacterium mediation.With the pre culturing of the calli and agrobacterium,the treatment of phenol and different antibiotics,the rates of production and regeneration of resistant calli and plantlets were increased greatly.The transgenic rice plants were regenerated.PCR testing results showed that GLgc TM was integrated into rice plants obtained.
