Resistant evaluation to powdery mildew in barley in Sichuan

During 1997 1999,180 materials(varieties) of barley germplasmic resources collected in Sichuan were examined in the field for their resistance to powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis f.sp.hordei).Among these varieties,6were preliminarily identified as resistance,57 varieties as moderate resistance.The naked poly rowed barley varieties with resistance and moderate resistance accounteed for the major proportion in comparison with husked or two rowed ones,some varieties possessed both property resistance and early maturity.The origin of the resistant germplasmic resources were also analyzed.
