Photosynthetic Characteristics of Gardenia jasminoides in Autumn

The leaves of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis.in Autumn were used as tested materials,and their photosynthetic characteristics were detected with the Li-6400 photosynthetic system.The results showed that the net photosynthetic rate(Pn) of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis.presented a double-peak curve,which showed obvious midday depression.The maximum of net photosynthetic rate was 3.210μmol·m-2·s-1. Under the density of 400 μmol/mol CO2,the compensation point of Cotinus coggygria Scop.light was 10.8 μmol·m-2·s-1,and the light saturation point was 1225 μmol·m-2·s-1.The photosynthesis characteristis of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis. indicated that it was a typical masculine shade-resistant plant which was strong to adapt the circumstance.
