Photosynthetic Characteristics of Introduced Tea Cultivars Huangjinya,Jinguang and Yujinxiang in Sichuan Tea-area

Three albino tea cultivars‘Huang Jinya',‘Yu Jinxiang'and‘Jin Guang'which were introduced from Zhejiang to Sichuan were used as tested materials and Sichuan main cultivars‘Fudingdabaicha'as control. The physiological indexes of photosynthetic,diurnal changes of photosynthesis,light response curve and the chlorophyll content of all varieties were investigated to understand the photosynthetic potential and ecophysiological adaptability of the three cultivars which were grown in Sichuan tea areas. The results showed that the curve of diurnal variation of photosynthetic rate had one peak in 3 introduced cultivars. There were significant differences among the photosynthetic indexes such as net photosynthetic rate( Pn),transpiration rate( Tr) and so on,and there were obvious differences in the chlorophyll content index. All of those indexes were significantly lower than that of control. Comprehensive to see,‘Yu Jinxiang'had stronger photosynthetic efficiency with strong production potential and had ornamental value because its buds and leaves were yellow,which could be used as the characteristic,the ornamental and combination cultivars introduced to Sichuan tea area properly.
