The Studies on the Ray Trace of GRIN Ball Lens

Since each ray in a spherical gradientindex sphere lens lies in a plane including the central point, the author analyses the ray equation in Cartesian coordinate. At last, the author obtained the equation of ray trace in the GRIN ball lens with the index profile which is quadratic and drew some important conclusions.
