Based-GIS the Risk Assessment of Debris Flow in Haizi Valley Basin of Yunnan Province

ZHANG Hong,KUANG Ming-shengSchool of Geographical Science,Southwest University,Chongqing 400715,China
Haizi valley of Yunnan province is an area where debris flow takes place frequently. In the paper, through analyzing the characteristics of the debris flow in Haizi valley,it has been pointed out that the breaking out of the debris flow is related to unconsolidated deposit, gradient, precipitation, geology, and vegetation. On the base of the database, repository and the digital environmental model for assessing the risk of debris flow disasters were built.By the supporting of ArcGIS,the map of risk assessment of debris flow in Haizi valley was obtained. The analyzed results offer an essential reference to control the debris flow in Haizi valley.
