Isolation and Identification of Flavones in the Seedcost of Rape (Brassica Napus)

The flavones in Brassica napus testa were isolated and identified with paper chromatography and UV spectrophotometry,using yellow-and black-seeded oilseed rape varieties as the experimental materials. The results showed that anthocyanin,flavonol,isoflavone glycoside and flavonol glycosdie were present as pigment components in the testa of both types of varieties.However,besides the pigments mentioned a- bove,the black-seeded testa contained much more flavone than the yellow-seeded testa,and the yellow- seeded testa contained much more isoflavone than the black-seeded testa.
