Design of spatial backup strategy for constellation based on satellite reliability and MTTR

The constellation reliability model is built up based on the satellite reliability,and the impact on the constellation reliability caused by constellation configuration,satellite reliability and spare satellite number is analyzed.Through analyzing on the availability of spare satellites and the inherent availability of satellites,the design constraints of spare satellite orbit are discussed.Based on the mean time to repair,the reconfiguration control model of spare satellites is presented,and the impact on the average characteristic velocity increment caused by spare satellite number,deployment orbit and mean time to repair is analyzed.Finally based on the demand of constellation reliability and mean time to repair,the design optimization method of the sub-constellation configuration of spare satellites and a design example are presented.
