The Impact of Career Growth on Employee Engagement—— Based on the Mediating Role of Organizational Commitment

ZHOU Xia;YU Jin-ming;CAO Gui-ling;School of Business Administration,South China University of Science and Technology;  
Based on the questionnaire among 400 employees of 21 companies in 7 cities,by applying hierarchical regression analysis to test the mediating role of organizational commitment in the process of professional growth affecting employee engagement. The empirical results show career growth and organizational commitment have significant positive impacts on employee engagement; organizational commitment plays a partial mediator impact,full mediation role,no mediating role on the dimension of "the speed of professional competence development""the pace of career goal progress"and"the speed of promotion""reward growth"of employee engagement.
