Hidden Terminal Resolution Mechanism Based on Network Coding in Wireless Broadcast Networks

Because of the absence of RTS and CTS mechanism in the wireless broadcasting network,the hidden terminal problem cannot be resolved.So the article presents HB-CODE,which is a network coding approach solving the hidden terminal in wireless broadcasting network.The method utilizes that the node which has received a packet will produce a copy of the packet and then using a special mechanism to confirm that whether the packet in collide packets has been received.If the collide packets have been received then using network coding method decodes packet collisions,thus restoring the original packet.Our evaluation shows that using HB-CODE reduces the delay of 2% to 10%,an average of 25% packet loss,improved broadcast network reliability and throughput.
