The blood theological characteristics is suited to Casson equation. Casson viscosity and yield stress are important macrotheological indexes of blood. This article advanced the physics significance of Cas- son viscosity, i. a. it is the limit value or inferior limit that whole blood viscosity can decrease to. In order to judge whether the measurement is reliable, correlation and variance analysis arc made. At the same time, Casson viscosity and yield stress can be obtained. Casson viscosity and Casson yield stress is significantly related to erythrocyte aggregation. Research on this two important areas in hemorheolo- gy is advantageous to expound disease mechanism.
