The Development of the Handicraft Industry on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau from the Ming dynasty to the Early Qing dynasty——Centered by the articles of the tribute

Because of the limitation of natural environment and productivity, the handicraft industry in the areaof the Qinghai-Tibet plateau fell behind the central China. However, in the Ming and the early Qing dynasty, thehandcraft there developed rapidly after having the economic and cultural communication with the other nations,especially the Han. The handcraft production on the plateau kept its strong local features while improving thetechnologies of its production. The articles of the tribute to the central government in the Ming to the early Qingdynasty could reflect the development of the handicraft industry on the palteau clearly.
