Jiang Zemin's "Three Represents" theory implies deeper implications. Its aim is to strengthen the Party's self- construction under the changed circumstances, its focus is to improve the Party's leadership and its objective is to consolidate the Party's governance. With its own theoretical features and historical position, the theory also gives Jiang Zemin's exposition as to five relationships.
