Virtual Teams and Distance English Learning

Guo Qiang (Foreign Languages Department, Shaoguan University, Shaoguan Guangdong 512005)  
Virtual teams have such features as being beyond time and space, transorganizational, digital, and involving object-oriented interaction. By constructing object-oriented online English learning virtual teams, and launching ICT-based multi-role English communicative activities, we can create interactive language learning environments, which will promote authentic language input and output, and become excellent SLA (second language acquisition) places for Chinese learners of English.
