Application of TerraSAR-X Data for Subsidence Monitoring in Huainan Mining Area

D-InSAR technique can monitor surface deformation fast,accurately and on a large scale.It provides an effective means for monitoring and controlling the mining subsidence in mining area.This article takes the Huainan mining area to the north of the Huaihe river in Anhui Province as the research region.Using three scenes high resolution TerraSAR-X images,subsidence information is extracted by two-pass D-InSAR and three-pass D-InSAR during 2010.11.22 and 2011.01.25.The results show that,during the period,Huainan mining area was observed large settlement.The maximum settlement of the research area was-71 mm,which was located in Dingji mining area;the maximum settlement in Guqiao and Gubei mining area and Panji mining area was respectively-50 mm and-45 mm.The position and shape of subsidence area using the two D-InSAR method was relatively well identical to the actual situation.Furthermore,settlement rate was broadly consistent with the relevant research.It suggests that,based on high spatial resolution TerraSAR-X data of short temporal baseline,deformation of the earth and deformation range can be monitored with high precision in Huainan mining area.At the same time,by making a comparative analysis with the two methods,it finds that,under the circumstances of no high accuracy DEM,application effect of three-pass D-InSAR is better than that of two-pass D-InSAR in plain area.
